Wellbeing for the Menopause

Workshops and Classes in East Sussex

The circles of women around us weave invisible nets of love that carry us when we’re weak, and sing with us when we are strong.

Menopause Yoga Workshops and mini-course

Menopause Yoga workshops are an immersion into the mysteries of the menopause. They are 3 hours long and include:

  • Mindful movements

  • Breathing practices

  • Meditation

  • Deep relaxation

  • Self-reflection

  • Discussion and sharing

The menopause is a challenging transition. Some women ride the wave pretty much effortlessly while many of us experience physical and emotional pains for years. Yoga is a powerful tool to help regulate our nervous system, ease tension in the body and support us in welcoming change.

Menopause Yoga™️ is specifically adapted for women in peri-menopause, menopause and post menopause. It fuses modern medical science with eastern wellbeing practices to support women on their journey towards their second spring.

Menopause can be an opportunity for health, empowerment and self-knowledge. The yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation help provide relief from menopause symptoms, calm the mind, find ease in the body and build bone and muscles strength. The workshops and classes also offer a safe and supportive space for women to come together.

The yoga practice is accessible to both beginners and seasoned yoga practitioners, but requires to be able to come down and up from the floor.

Menopause is a transition into a new stage of life. It is important to support this transition by adapting your lifestyle to your changing needs through healthier diet, more rest, natural therapies and getting the help you need through medical support, counselling, and above all human connections.

Information is crucial and there are now many resources available which may be challenging to navigate. I am currently putting together a list of resources and local therapists specialised in the menopause that I’ll be able to share with you soon. Contact me if you wish to receive those resources.
